Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1076

"Cough, cough!"

Hearing Colby's words, Jenna nearly choked on the bite of pizza she had just taken. "You really are my brother! You hurt your left hand; what does that have to do with your right hand?"

"My right hand hurts too," Colby lied without a trace of shame.

"Your right hand hurts too? Did you injure it as well? Let me see."

Sophie anxiously checked Colby's right hand, causing Adler to drop his fork in shock. "Sophie, are you serious? Can't you tell he's faking it?"

"...Faking it?"

Sophie examined Colby's arm and, sure enough, there wasn't a single scratch on it.

Seeing this, Sophie tossed Colby's hand back and said, "If your hand is fine, then eat by yourself!"

"But I want my wife to feed me."

Hearing Colby's mushy words, Jenna could hardly stand it and nearly threw up the leftover pizza.

So gross! Absolutely gross!

Is this really her brother?

No way, she absolutely refuses to acknowledge it!

Jenna put down her fork and said, "I'm feeling a bit unwell; shall we head out?"

Jenna gave Adler a look, and though he was initially engrossed in his meal, he immediately caught on. "Right, we've got things to take care of. There's a whole mess waiting for us in Devonport that needs sorting out. Ignoring it wouldn't be good."

Saying that, Adler hurriedly put down his fork and stood up, while Sophie, still feeding Colby, complained to Jenna, "Jenna, stop being dramatic."
