"Let's just go. I don't believe Odie can do anything to Colby anyway."
Having someone else cover the expenses is way more practical than staying in a hospital.
Sophie said, “Tell your boss we got the message, and ask him to send a car for us.”
"The car's been waiting outside for a while now. Our boss figured Ms. Sophie would agree, so he had it prepared in advance to save time."
"Your boss sure thinks ahead."
"He has to."
After all, Odie had been outmaneuvered by Sophie too many times and had learned his lesson.
Soon, Sophie helped Colby up from the hospital bed. At that moment, a few men in white lab coats, Odie’s guys, quickly rushed forward to help Colby. They approached Sophie with sheepish smiles, saying, "Ms. Sophie, let us help!"
They were about to support Colby, one in front and one behind, but before they could touch him, Colby shot them a cold glare.
The two men awkwardly smiled and withdrew their hands.
Sophie sighed and supported Colby out of the hospital room, saying, "Why turn down free help?"
"I don't like other people touching me."
"Fine, you don't like other people touching you. How about I do it? Is that okay?"
"Only you can."
Colby was dead serious.
Sophie just laughed.
Meanwhile, at the Minton estate...
Odie was sitting in his study, looking out at the yard below, feeling inexplicably irritated. "Have they arrived yet? What's taking so long?"
"Boss, our guys just left; they can't have gotten there that fast."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
