In the end, Colby finally broke the silence. "Mr. Pei, what exactly are you trying to say?"
"Well, to be honest... I'm not Kiran."
Angelo’s confession didn’t seem to surprise Colby or Sophie one bit.
Angelo cursed inwardly. These two had already figured it out! And James seemed to know way too much.
Clearing his throat, Angelo said, “Uh... could you both react a little? This is getting pretty awkward for me.”
“Oh,” Sophie replied, “So, Mr. Pei, why bring this up all of a sudden?”
“Well, I actually snuck out behind my brother and dad’s back. Kiran and I are identical, and most people can’t tell us apart. I’ve been using his identity to show off, which is embarrassing, but true. I figured you were suspicious, and I see you both as friends. I didn’t want to deceive you. Please don’t expose me, or I’m done for!”
Angelo looked genuinely earnest.
Sophie then asked, “So, Mr. Pei, what was your real reason for coming to Devonport?”
“It’s all for Emerging News. I don’t have many hobbies, but I love championing justice and working in journalism.”
Angelo pleaded, “I swear, I didn’t mean any harm. If I get caught and sent back overseas, I might never be able to leave again!”
“Then, Mr. Pei, why have you been asking about my preferences lately? And keeping track of my dietary habits? Did someone put you up to this?”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
