“Bella, what on earth are you saying? How could Ms. Sophie ever do such a thing? Maybe the car accidentally got damaged on the road.”
“Well, what are you waiting for? Send a car to take us back, now!”
The summer heat was unbearable, and now the car was broken. Surely Sophie wouldn’t expect them to walk all the way back, would she?
The security guard looked troubled as he spoke, “Bella, I'm really sorry, but Mr. Aldridge took all the vehicles when he left today. We truly don't have any cars available to send you back.”
“With an estate as large as the Aldridge family's, are you telling me there isn’t even three or five cars to spare?”
Bella’s expression darkened further.
Especially since she had given all her savings to Sophie today, her heart was already aching. Now, encountering such a frustrating situation, she couldn’t hold back her anger any longer.
The guard explained, “Bella, Mr. Aldridge is frugal, I'm really sorry. Perhaps you could walk to the commercial district two kilometers away and hail a cab from there. Mr. Aldridge prefers peace and quiet, so cars from outside can't enter this villa area. You probably won't be able to call a cab within two kilometers.”
Hearing this, Bella was furious, “This is clearly bullying!”
Just then, Jenna emerged from the house, addressing Bella through the Aldridge family’s gate, “What are you saying, Bella? Our Mr. Gordon has always been hospitable. Although we don’t have another car, we do have a small tractor available for you to use, if Bella doesn’t mind.”
With that, Adler drove a small tractor up to Bella.
Seeing this, Bella’s face turned utterly grim.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
