"I've told you already! It's not that I don't want to leave, it's that I can't!" Angelo groaned. "You have no idea what my old man is like! If you can actually get me out of here, I'd be seriously impressed! Hello? Hello? James, are you even listening?"
Angelo glanced at his phone screen, confirming that James had hung up, and angrily tossed the phone onto the bed. He'd been stuck at home for days, and all James seemed to care about was Sophie. Couldn't he spare a thought for his own apprentice?
If it weren't for helping James get close to Sophie, Angelo wouldn't be locked up by his dad right now.
With a sigh, Angelo sneaked a peek outside his bedroom door. As soon as Viona saw him, she slammed the door shut, not caring if it might hit his head.
Luckily, Angelo was quick enough to block it and grinned, "Viona, let me tell you a joke."
"Not interested."
"Do you know why I'm smiling at you?"
"......"
"Because it's hard to hit a smiling face!"
"......"
Viona turned away, clearly unamused.
Still grinning, Angelo tried a different tactic, "Hey, Viona, we've been getting along so well. You wouldn't rat me out to my dad if I wanted to step out for a bit, right?"
But Viona just yelled down the hallway, "Master! The young master is trying to sneak out again!"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
