"Let him go," Sophie said, her voice steady. "But if that person could reach out to you, it won't just be once or twice. You'll keep in touch, right?"
At this, everyone's eyes turned to Griffin as Sophie continued, "The next time he contacts you, I want to know the time and place of your meeting. If it's online, I need a video recording. Griffin, any objections?"
Griffin glanced up at Sophie, realizing she planned to use him as bait. Even though Sophie had let them go, the person behind the scenes would surely contact him again, making sure Sophie stayed in the dark about his identity.
Typical of Colby's woman, always thinking things through so thoroughly.
"Fine, I agree, but I have one condition," Griffin replied.
"Your lives are in my hands right now; you're in no position to negotiate," Sophie shot back, her tone icy.
She never showed mercy to enemies who threatened her life, only sparing those who still had some use to her.
Hearing Sophie's words, Griffin just pressed his lips together. Then, struggling to his feet, he stepped closer to Sophie and knelt down again. "Ms. Sophie, I beg you. If you agree to my condition, you can take my life whenever you want in exchange."
Griffin bowed his head to the ground, the silence around them unexpected.
Jenna and Adler said nothing.
Sophie, looking at Griffin, suddenly remembered when Odie had captured her and asked if she preferred dignity over life.
At that time, she had said she wanted dignity, not life.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
