At this point, Colby paused, his eyes drifting to Sophie before he finally said, “Actually... with your Uncle Perry’s abilities back then, there was no way he could have orchestrated that car accident flawlessly. It was all a setup by the Minton family, and Uncle Perry took the fall, completely innocent.”
“What?”
“The one who lured Uncle Perry into the trap was Jensen, the former head of the Mintons. The Minton family had been working with K Corporation for over twenty years. That time, Odie used this secret to get himself out of the police station.”
“You didn’t tell me back then.”
“I was just afraid it would break your heart.”
Hearing this, Sophie felt a sharp pain in her chest.
So it was true.
The car accident that killed her parents wasn’t as simple as it seemed.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
