Outside the hall, a crowd had gathered to bid farewell to Lennon, with several people standing guard at the entrance.
At one point, a business owner without a white flower tried to enter, but the doormen blocked him, saying, "Today is the old man's funeral. Without a white flower, no one can enter."
"I'm not a member of the Costello family, so why should I wear a white flower?" the man shot back, clearly looking for trouble.
The Costello family had relied on Lennon for years, and many new elites hoped for his downfall, eager to seize the opportunity. They weren't there to pay their respects but to see if the Costello family was on the decline.
"Why argue? It's just a white flower. If you don't want to wear it, then leave," one of the doormen said firmly.
Just then, Bea, dressed in a black dress with a white flower pinned on it, stepped out to the funeral. She glanced at the people at the door and said, "I'm here to pay respects to an old friend. The Costello family never mentioned needing an invitation to attend the funeral."
Seeing it was Bea, the doormen hesitated.
"What? Does the Costello family not have someone in charge?" Bea frowned and continued, "I'm here to pay my respects, not to cause trouble. The younger generation really has no sense of propriety."
Hearing this, the doormen stepped aside and said, "Bea, please come in."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
