Sophie couldn't help but think Krystal was incredibly bold.
Did she know what status Gordon had? Probably no one had ever dared to be so brazen in his presence.
“Ladies and gentlemen, would you like to experience the Aldridge family’s hospitality?” Gordon looked up, his eyes unfathomable under his brows. He always wore a faint smile on his face, yet his words sent shivers down one’s spine.
Suddenly, several black-suited bodyguards stepped forward, grabbing the arms of the two families and dragging them forcibly outside.
Krystal’s high heels fell to the ground as she struggled incessantly. “Let go! What are you doing? Let me go!”
In just a short while, the entire hall quieted down as if the commotion had never happened.
“My apologies to everyone.” Gordon’s voice regained its warmth, and his previous indifference was gone.
Sophie couldn't help but size up Gordon a few times.
In her previous life, she hadn't had much chance to interact with Gordon, but seeing him now in this life, she finally understood why the Aldridge estate had flourished under his management.
Such a man was indeed unfathomable, and the most terrifying men were those you could not understand.
“Colby, may I have a word?” Gordon’s gaze fell on Colby.
Jenna whispered to Sophie, “Gordon has always been mature beyond his years. Although we've known each other since childhood, we barely spoke.”
“Are Colby and Gordon close?”
“It seems so, but I'm not too sure.”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
