Colby lounged on a sofa off to the side, checked his watch, and said, "Ten minutes."
"You hear that? Ten minutes! Pull the news immediately, or you'll regret it!"
Colby's crew gave the newspaper publishers a menacing look.
The publishers were cornered, crouching in fear.
"No need to scare them, folks. I'm always approachable and easy to talk to."
Colby raised his hand, and his crew stepped back.
Approachable? Easy to talk to?
Did these words have anything to do with Colby?
The publishers exchanged nervous glances.
They all wanted to keep breathing a bit longer.
Eventually, they scrambled for their phones, alerting their companies to halt everything immediately.
Ten minutes later, Colby checked the news page, and once all the negative stories about Sophie were gone, he said, "You guys handle the rest. I don’t want to see another word about this."
"Don't worry, Colby, we get it. We won’t let any more fake news slip through!"
"Yeah, absolutely, no more of this stuff!"
"Please, Colby, let us head back now!"

Voices around him rose and fell.
Colby finally stood up, waving a hand.
His team let the newspaper publishers go.
"Boss, everything else is squared away, and the company’s got a PR strategy in place. Claire doesn’t stand a chance."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
