"Yeah, what's all this talk about divisions and separations? Sounds like a bunch of mystical mumbo jumbo to me."
Jenna was just as lost as everyone else when Sophie started her cryptic explanation.
Seeing their puzzled faces, Sophie picked up a stone from a nearby bush and started sketching eight symbols on the ground.
As she drew, she explained, "Three solid lines, three broken lines."
On the ground appeared two opposing symbols: one with three unbroken lines and the other with three broken lines.
"These solid lines represent the active force, and the broken lines represent the passive force," Sophie elaborated.
She continued, "A hollow center surrounded by activity, and a full center surrounded by passivity."
Sophie then added two more symbols: one with a passive line in the middle bordered by active lines, and another with an active line in the middle bordered by passive lines.
"Whoa, isn't this from the I Ching hexagrams?" Adler remarked, clearly impressed.
Angelo and Sandy exchanged bewildered glances.
"What hexagrams?" they wondered aloud.
"Thunder looking up, Mountain covering the bowl, Lake with a missing top, Wind broken at the bottom," Sophie continued, drawing the final four symbols.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
