Witnessing the scene unfold, everyone was utterly speechless.
Adler blurted out, "No way! This has to be photoshopped! How could it be real? Which marketing genius came up with this? I'll make sure their company goes under!"
Jenna chimed in, "This news can't be true... They must've put out this smoke screen to throw us off!"
Elodie paused, glancing at the diamond ring in Griffin's hand, and mused, "Could Colby have been pushing so hard today because of this?"
The room fell into shocked silence.
Meanwhile—
Joseph looked at the news and said, "Nicely handled."
James asked, "You've invested so much in Claire, and now you're just going to let her go like this? Doesn't it break your heart?"
"To die as the Russell family's heiress is a kind of fate," Joseph replied. "Sophie's body is already ashes, and Claire's role has ended. Using Claire to stir up chaos and unsettle the big families... James, that was clever thinking."
James simply nodded, taking in Joseph's approving gaze.
Joseph continued, "Send the body to the Burke Estate. I want them to realize that with Sophie gone, their resistance is pointless."
"Got it," James said, retreating slowly.
Soon after, James headed to the basement. He cleared the room, then looked at the woman lying pale in the coffin. "Once you go back, stay out of sight," he instructed.
With that, he closed the coffin lid, leaving a slight opening.
Inside, 'Claire' opened her eyes slowly.
Sophie whispered, "Understood."
As evening set in, a coffin was transported to the Burke Estate.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
