Sandy felt a chill run down her spine at the look on Kiran's face.
But Kiran just flicked her forehead lightly, his voice carrying a serious warning, “Listen up, The Silent Shadows is none of your business. Wipe those words from your mind. You're not to mention them again!”
“But... but big brother, do you have anything to do with it or not?”
Sandy started to throw a bit of a fit, clinging to Kiran’s sleeve. “If you don’t tell me, I won’t be able to sleep! And if I can’t sleep, I’ll bug you every single day until you spill it!”
“Such a silly girl.”
Kiran sighed, letting her tug him along towards the mansion. He remarked casually, “The Silent Shadows is just a stepping stone for me. With it, the Pollard family won’t have a care in the world for years, and the old worries will finally…”
His voice faded, leaving Sandy puzzled. “What are you saying, brother? Our family’s loaded, we’re a big deal overseas. Who’d dare disrespect the Pollard family? Why talk like that?”
Kiran glanced at Sandy, replying with a hint of exasperation, “Alright, my little princess, you've asked enough for tonight. I’ve got a hot bath ready for you. Go have a soak and get some shut-eye. While you're here, feel free to have fun, but one thing—stay away from Sophie and her crowd.”
“Brother!”
“That’s as much as I can allow.”
Ignoring Sandy’s protests, a servant soon approached, saying, “Ms. Sandy, your bath is ready.”
Seeing Kiran wasn’t budging, Sandy stuck her tongue out at him. “I’ll ask you again when I’m all clear-headed tomorrow! No way you’ll keep mum!”
Kiran raised an eyebrow, tapping his chest in mock fear, “Oh, I'm so scared of your little interrogations. Not a chance you'll get anything out of me.”
“Brother!”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
