When Kiran spoke, there was a definite chill in his eyes.
Sandy quickly piped up, “No way, I promise I won’t be sticking around Summerfield longer than needed!”
She’d heard enough about Summerfield to know it wasn’t the kind of place you’d want to visit more than once.
“Off you go then.”
Kiran motioned to someone by the door, who brought over her luggage. Sandy was momentarily caught off guard when she saw the suitcase being wheeled in.
“Brother, how did you manage to pack my bags already?”
“Summerfield might not be my turf, but nobody there would dare lay a finger on my little princess. Still, it’s always wise to have your own things ready.”
With that, Kiran placed a stunning butterfly necklace around Sandy’s neck, adding, “You’ve always loved the jewelry from their designer, haven’t you? This one’s a special piece I had made just for you. It’s your good luck charm, so don’t lose it, or I’ll be pretty upset.”
Sandy glanced down at the butterfly necklace, a smile spreading across her face.
“How did you know butterflies are my favorite? Thanks, Brother, I’ll keep it safe.”
“Alright.”
Kiran gave a nod.
Sandy was eager to hop on a plane to Summerfield to check on Sophie.
Meanwhile, over in Summerfield, Sophie hadn’t left the Minton family mansion all day.
She’d lounge in bed when tired and order takeout when hungry.
By evening, a brisk knock at the door interrupted her.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
