"Is something up with the company?"
"It's Reece," Tricia replied. "Our S Corporation leans heavily on Reece, the movie star, for international recognition. But yesterday, while overseas, Reece was attacked, and someone anonymously accused him of illegal activities, leading to his arrest by the local police. It's causing quite a stir over there, and we've already been informed. The media's bound to pick it up soon, which could seriously damage our reputation. Plus, if Reece is in real trouble, we might be looking at some hefty penalties."
Sophie furrowed her brow and asked, "Why are we only hearing about yesterday's incident now?"
"The news didn't reach us until late last night, after Reece was attacked and detained. With everything going on between you and Mr. Colby, the company has been heavily focused on managing PR to keep things under control, which slowed down our information flow."
"I'll find a way to handle it."
"We need to act fast. If this blows up, it could become even trickier to manage."
"How long can we withstand the PR pressure?"
"Not more than twenty-four hours."
With Tricia's response, Sophie nearly slammed the phone down.
"What's going on?" Sandy asked, who rarely saw Sophie this tense.
"The company hit a snag... Sandy, does the Pollard family have any connections with foreign police?"
"Of course! Otherwise, we couldn't hold our ground abroad. Why do you ask? Is someone giving you trouble overseas?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free.
