Corin didn't know what Sophie would do to handle him.
She said, "Your first option, stay at the company, but you'll never get another role to play."
Corin looked genuinely shocked.
Sophie continued slowly, "Your second option, switch to Burke International’s entertainment division. I'll write you a recommendation letter."
Corin paused, seemingly not expecting such a good deal. "Really?"
"Absolutely."
"Then I choose the second option!"
Corin was overjoyed. Who would stay at the lackluster Russell Entertainment when he could move to Burke International?
"You can go now. I'll introduce you to Burke International tomorrow. I think they'll be eager to have you," Sophie said with a smile.
Though Corin wasn't a top star, the Russell family had invested a lot in him, making him quite popular. Burke International’s film division always liked to poach top talents from others.
However, this was not necessarily a good thing. After all, Corin had a slew of undisclosed scandals behind him. These scandals were like a ticking time bomb, ready to impact any company that signed him.
After sending Corin away, Reece suddenly walked into the office.
Noticing Reece’s frowning and hesitant expression, Sophie knew he had overheard her conversation with Corin.
"Why are you sending Corin away?"
To any outsider, moving to Burke International was a step up.
Sophie, eager to avoid any misunderstanding, explained, "He thinks moving to Burke International is a good thing, but he doesn't realize that it’s actually his misfortune."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free.
