"Sophie... I thought you’d forgiven me."
"Colby, you're reading too much into it," Sophie replied with a hint of sarcasm. "I just used your network overseas to give Kiran's crew a little wake-up call. Remember, you said you wouldn’t mind me using your resources for my entire life."
Colby frowned as her words sank in. He realized Sophie was deliberately making this statement, signaling to The Silent Shadows that she had the Costello family's resources at her fingertips. But this move was risky—she was making herself a target for all their firepower!
There was no way he could let her take such a gamble.
"From now on, you can’t—"
Before Colby could finish, the cell was suddenly swarmed by a group of black-clad mercenaries armed to the teeth. Their swift, precise movements startled Gina, who was witnessing such chaos for the first time. She turned pale with fear.
Sophie hadn’t expected this either.
Just then, a man wearing a mask entered the cell. He was tall and commanding, dressed in a sharp black suit, with only his deep, piercing eyes visible beneath a white mask.
"Colby... I've heard a lot about you."
The man's voice was rough, almost grating. Sophie recognized it—it was Logan.
Logan casually pinned a badge to his chest and said, "Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Logan, one of the core members of The Silent Shadows. It's a pleasure to finally meet Mr. Colby."
Colby snapped his fingers, and instantly, the mercenaries raised their rifles. Terrified, Gina ducked behind Colby, screaming, "Don't shoot me! Please, don't shoot!"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
