"Why are you thanking me?"
"I know Ms. Sophie brought me here because she understood my concerns about the boss. Otherwise, with my status, I wouldn't have been able to follow you to meet my boss."
Jonah initially had a strong dislike for Sophie, but having spent so much time together, his opinion of her had changed significantly.
"You've already said your thanks. What's most important now is finding Reece, then figuring out where Odie is."
Sophie's tone hesitated before she added, "Also, although I can get you in, I'm not sure we'll be able to take Odie with us today. Do you understand what I'm saying?"
"I understand."
Jonah said gravely, "I have a favor to ask of Ms. Sophie."
"What is it?"
"This journey is fraught with danger. The boss is the only family I have in this world. We've been through a lot of tough times together. If it weren't for the boss finding me, I might have already been dead."
As Jonah looked up at Sophie, a determined light shone in his dark eyes. He earnestly said, "Ms. Sophie, I entrust my life to you. If something does happen to me, I beg you, please rescue the boss. To him, there wasn't much in this world worth clinging to, nor people he cared about or cherished. But Ms. Sophie, you are different to him."
He had realized this quite early on. Perhaps initially, Odie captured Sophie just for Colby.
Over time, he found her interesting, and then, she became the only one in his eyes.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
