"Reece, can we go now?"

Reece stepped aside, clearing a path for them.
Only then did Sophie, pulling Jonah along, head towards the other side of the dense forest.
Jonah's wounds couldn't wait any longer.
As they were leaving, Sophie glanced back at Odie. She had wanted to give Odie a chance—if he had chosen to leave with them, they would have risked it all against The Silent Shadows.
But Odie didn't move.
So, Sophie could only support Jonah as they made their way back.
"Are we really letting them go?"
One of The Silent Shadows' members stepped forward, questioning Reece's decision.
At this, Odie instantly turned cold: "Dare to touch them and see what happens!"
"Mr. Odie, no rush, you did well just now, and I am a man of my word."
Reece, holding a contract in his hand, said, "Besides, we've already got what we came for; I don't want any unnecessary trouble."
Meanwhile.
Sophie had found a safe place. Jonah's wounds needed immediate attention, and they still didn't know how long it would take to get out of this jungle.
After Jonah had hastily treated his wounds, and Sophie had fetched him spring water, he couldn't help but ask, "Ms. Sophie, are you really going to give them the company?"
"Give it to them? In their dreams."
Sophie said lightly, "We didn't even manage to rescue Odie, and now I should just hand over S Corporation for nothing? I'm not foolish."
"That contract just now..."
"Signed, but invalid."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
