Wesley gazed down at Sophie and Colby standing in the audience and declared, "If beyond this universe, there exists a Creator who fashioned the universe and mankind, then why can't we humans become creators ourselves?"
Hearing Wesley's words, Sophie felt a wave of revulsion, "So what? You've done all these terrible things, shattered so many families, just to realize your ambition?"
"It's not me, but the Tredgold family."
Wesley continued calmly, "Among the four great families, a miracle was discovered. In truth, it was the discovery of the ultimate reality of this world—that beyond it, there's a Creator of the universe and everything within it. They could have used this miracle to create a better world, but they chose not to. My ancestors, however, had long been acquainted with the cruelty of this world and resolved to create a realm of only beauty. Generation after generation, through persistent research, we finally made a breakthrough."
Turning to Sophie, Wesley added, "You should know this feeling well."
"Me?"
"You've experienced that miraculous power, along with Joseph. All of you have used the gem's power to transcend life and death."
As Wesley spoke, Harold and Adler cast puzzled glances at Sophie.
Transcend life and death?
Sophie didn't elaborate, coldly responding, "All this, is your doing? The reason the Burke family possesses a gem that belongs to the Tredgold family is that the four great families had colluded with Burke International a century ago, right?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free.
