Sophie replied calmly, "Given the current situation, even if we wanted to, we wouldn't dare lie in front of you, would we?"
Hearing this, a smile of satisfaction appeared on Wesley's face as he said, "It's good that you know."
At that moment, from a small door in the corner, Reece emerged, carrying a woman on his shoulder.
"Jenna!"
Adler's gaze instantly fixed on Jenna, who was slung over Reece's shoulder.
Standing beside Reece, Kena remained expressionless, providing cover for Reece.
"Jenna!"
Adler attempted to rush forward, but Kena blocked his path.
Adler said coldly, "I won't lay a hand on a woman! Move aside!"
"Here she is. If you want her, we'll trade for the diamond."
Reece glanced at Sophie, who was not far away.
Sophie's grip on the box tightened slightly.
She had to find an opportunity to save Jenna before Wesley discovered the diamond in the box was a fake.
"Alright, I'll give you what you want!"
Sophie looked at Jenna on Reece's shoulder and said, "But we'll need to exchange the goods and the person simultaneously."
"Agreed."
Reece gave Kena a look.
Kena then walked over to Sophie and extended her hand. Sophie handed over the box containing the diamond to Kena.
Simultaneously, Reece also dropped the unconscious Jenna into Adler's arms.
Before a look of joy could spread across Adler's face, Reece swiftly pulled out a pistol and shot Jenna in the heart in less than a fraction of a second.
Instantly, the air in the church froze for a few seconds.
Everyone was stunned.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
