Reece gave a nod to his aide.
Soon, a machine was carried up to the stage.
"You young folks are indeed smart, but overly arrogant."
Wesley spoke calmly, "I should thank you for helping me distinguish the true from the false."
Sophie's heart trembled.
"Don't worry, I won't kill you. I want you to witness this historic moment with me. History needs its eyewitnesses. I want you to see this miracle. I want you to know that what the Tredgold family has done is unparalleled, with no predecessors and likely no successors."
Everyone slowly rose to their feet.
Adler, glaring at Wesley seated above on the stage, his eyes turning a shade of crimson, said, "So, you've been acting all along? You just wanted to see what we could stir up, to watch us in our arrogant folly, and then have us watch you become the creator? You're utterly mad!"
Wesley didn't look at Adler; he raised his hand, and a disheveled woman, bound and dragged in from outside, came into view.
"Mom!"
Adler panicked.
May, seeing her son here, had eyes filled with fear and confusion.
"Mom!"
Adler rushed forward, kicking away the man who had bound May, then quickly untied her.
After the tape was ripped from May's mouth, she pushed Adler away, shouting:

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
