"I...," Sophie found herself at a loss for words.
What she wanted to ask wasn't this; it was just that she vaguely remembered there was a question in her mind that needed answering.
She just couldn't remember what that question was.
"Do you actually have a fever?"
Harold suddenly reached out and touched Sophie's forehead.
Unexpectedly, Sophie stood up, seemingly extra cautious about Harold's gesture.
The air around them seemed to drop by ten degrees in an instant.
The classroom went deadly quiet.
Just when Sophie thought Harold would scold her, he suddenly slapped the back of her head lightly, "You dodged quite fast, but I still got you."
"..."
Harold didn't ask much about her reaction, instead, he led Sophie out of the classroom.
Walking through the familiar campus, Sophie's memories sank deeper once again.
It felt as though there were two souls inside her, along with two sets of memories.
One soul told her this campus was filled with joy.
The other soul told her it was permeated with indifference.
In one memory, Eastwood College was a warm campus.
In another, Eastwood College was rife with bullying.
This tearing sensation made Sophie's head split with pain.
"Aren't you going to pursue the matter about the bracelet? But it was a gift from my brother, and you've always treasured it so much."
Harold kept chattering beside her.
Perhaps it was the mention of "my brother" that made Sophie vaguely lift her head and ask, "Where is Mr. Gordon now?"
"Mr. Gordon?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
