Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1749

"Forget it, your shooting skills aren't quite there yet. Let me show her how to handle a sword instead."

Griffin strolled over with a smirk.

Elodie gave Griffin a playful pat and said firmly, "She's a girl. If you're eager to teach swordplay, go show little Danny."

Griffin glanced at Adler and shrugged, "Not teaching."

"Why not? Is my kid really that hopeless?" Jenna huffed, her face full of irritation.

Elodie chuckled, "It's not that your kid's lacking; it's because he has a dad who's a pro, so Griffin's off the hook."

Adler couldn't help but puff out his chest a bit, feeling rather pleased with himself.

"Alright, let's head inside," Sophie said, gently taking Fiona from James' arms.

James nodded, "You guys go on ahead. We'll hang back and wait."

"Sure thing."

Sophie and Colby each took one of Fiona's tiny hands and led her into the cemetery. Dawn, the family dog, wagged his tail happily as he trotted along behind them.

Fiona made her usual rounds, first stopping by her grandparents' graves. As she had done every year, she respectfully knelt down, then stood and recounted some of the year's events to them.

Watching Fiona engage so sincerely with her grandparents, Sophie couldn't help but smile warmly.

Afterwards, Fiona visited her great-grandparents' graves. Colby tended to Lennon's resting place, and Sophie's gaze wandered to a nearby headstone.

"Mom, are we going to see Mr. Aldridge now?" Fiona asked eagerly, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Sophie was always a bit puzzled by Fiona's fondness for Gordon. Though she'd never met him, she was inexplicably drawn to visit his grave each time.

Initially, Sophie had suggested Fiona call Gordon "Uncle" like Harold, but Fiona wasn't keen on that idea.

In the end, Sophie decided not to press the issue.
