"Got any ideas?"
Sophie took a moment and then her eyes lit up. "I've always wanted to hit up an amusement park, shop without worrying about price tags, or maybe even travel and see new cities."
Her eyes were full of dreams and possibilities.
James watched her, falling silent as memories flooded back.
"Why ask me? You never take me anywhere anyway," she teased.
James remembered how in the past, Sophie dreamed of a honeymoon with him, but they never even had a wedding. He always used work as an excuse to dodge her wishes.
"Think about where you want to go," he said, "and I'll have my assistant book the flights."
Sophie looked at him, stunned. "But there's an exam tomorrow..."
"With your grades, missing it won't be a big deal," James replied. "Everyone needs a little adventure. This time, I'll follow you anywhere."
"Anywhere I want?"
"Anywhere."
"Okay, then I want to go abroad."
"Sure."
"I'm talking a whole week!"
"Even if you want to roam the northern hemisphere for a semester, that’s fine by me."
Sophie was floored. "What about your company?"
James unpinned the family crest from his chest and tossed it out the window. "To hell with the company."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
