Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1819

Life doesn't offer second chances, but when everything falls into place…

Outside the maternity ward, the cry of a newborn sent a ripple of tension through the room.

“How’s my wife? Is she okay?”

Andrew, normally the picture of calm and sophistication, was now a bundle of nerves, like a kid lost in a crowd.

“Please, stay calm! Both mom and baby are perfectly fine!”

The nurse tried her best to calm him down.

Hearing “mom and baby are fine” seemed to light a fire of excitement in Andrew.

“Safe and sound! That’s all that counts!”

“Andrew, over here! The baby’s out already.”

Andrew’s dad cradled the baby, beaming, “Look at this little sweetheart, she’s the spitting image of Damita.”

Andrew gazed at the newborn, his eyes filled with pure affection.

My parents called me over, “Ethan, come meet your little sister.”

I moved closer, curiosity piqued as I studied the tiny new life.

Her hand was so soft, like cotton candy, fragile and precious.

Her big, round eyes were locked on me, unblinking.

Oddly enough, she stopped crying the moment she saw me.

“Sophie and Ethan, they’ve got some sort of magic connection.”

As soon as those words left their mouths, the baby cooed and reached out for me.

Her tiny fingers wrapped around mine, and she seemed delighted by the touch.

I’d never seen a baby being born before, never truly grasped the miracle of life.
