Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1822

Jenna was taken aback when she heard Sophie fretting over something like this. "Oh, come on, what are you going on about? In this world, sure, anyone might not like you, but there's no way Gordon doesn't."

"But yesterday, when I barged into his room, he got all mad."

"Really? Why's that?"

Sensing some juicy gossip, Jenna leaned in eagerly. "Gordon got mad? That's a first! Did you walk in on him doing something... cheeky?"

Sophie wasn't sure what Jenna was imagining, but she was quick to clarify, "No, nothing like that! When I walked in, he suddenly hugged me, and he seemed really off. He told me not to just barge in without knocking."

"Well, that's fair enough. It's a guy's room, after all, and just barging in isn't the best idea."

"But I've always done it before."

Puzzled, Sophie asked, "Jenna, do you think maybe he’s seeing someone else, and that's why he's being distant?"

"Him? Seeing someone else?" Jenna replied, half-amused, half-disbelieving. "That's about as likely as pigs flying."

"Jenna! I'm being serious!"

Sophie was earnest, even a bit anxious. "Could he really be interested in someone else? I've heard the Aldridge company is full of gorgeous women!"

"..."

Jenna thought for a moment before asking, "So, besides telling you not to come in unannounced, did Gordon say anything else?"

"Anything else?"

Sophie thought carefully. "He said there's nothing different about him compared to other guys, just not to come into his room!"

Hearing this, Jenna snapped her fingers. "I got it!"

"You got it?"
