Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1842

"......"

Griffin was completely clueless.

They weren't exactly holiday enthusiasts.

Especially not something called White Day.

Colby stood there like a mute statue.

Vanessa waited, hoping for something, anything. But when Colby stayed as silent as ever, she finally blurted, "I... I've got another class to catch," and with cheeks flushed, she made her escape.

Odie, watching the whole scene unfold, raised an eyebrow. "Are you into her or what?"

"Not even a little."

"Then why keep her chocolates?"

Colby shrugged and tossed the fancy box over to Odie. "Knock yourself out."

"......"

Colby headed back to his dorm, lost in thought.

Odie inspected the chocolates. He couldn't decipher the foreign script on the box, but the lavish wrapping screamed luxury.

"I don't get what Vanessa sees in Colby, but she's all flustered around him. Honestly, Colby, you should think about being a heartthrob for a living. You'd clean up."

Before you knew it, Odie had polished off the entire box.

Griffin, watching Odie's candy binge, shook his head. "You're not worried about cavities with all that sugar?"

"Cavities? What's that? Never had 'em."

Odie was clueless about dental woes; all he knew was if Vanessa kept gifting Colby chocolates, he'd be set for life.

Colby lay sprawled on his bed, a book in hand.

When lights went out, the quiet crept in.
