Why didn't Sophie look at him the way she used to?
The more James thought about it, the crazier he felt.
Meanwhile, Sophie, who was still working overtime at the corporation that evening, suddenly sneezed.
"Are you alright?" Colby frowned.
It was just the two of them in the office at the moment.
Adler and Jenna had gone out. Sophie had been interning at Palm’s Jewels during the day, so she only managed the various corporate projects in the evenings.
"I might have caught a cold."
Sophie sipped her hot tea. She had been really overworked lately, with no time to relax.
"If you're feeling unwell, you should skip the family dinner tomorrow."
Sophie had been using the excuse of injuries from a car accident to avoid attending the monthly Russell family dinners for the past three months, but this time, she had to go.
Sophie shook her head. "I still need to go. I don’t feel too bad. It might just have been a chill. Don’t worry about me."
Colby raised an eyebrow. "You know I'm worried?"
Sophie blushed.
"I thought you didn’t realize. I sent you that ginger tea, but Jenna told me you haven’t touched it."
"I don’t like ginger tea…" Sophie murmured softly.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
