Revenge is Best Served After Reborn (James) novel Chapter 1877

Sandy barely had a moment to savor her excitement before Kiran's phone buzzed. It was a work call, and after a brief discussion, he hung up, looking somewhat resigned.

He turned to Sandy, who was practically vibrating with anticipation. "I've got to handle some work stuff," Kiran said with a sigh. "So, I'm going to have to rope in our younger brother to step in for the family meeting."

"Harold? No way! He'll just make a mess of things!" Sandy's enthusiasm drained from her face. Even though Harold and Kiran were identical twins, their vibes were worlds apart. Anyone who knew them could spot the difference in a second.

"My dear sister, it's just a simple family meeting. I'll make sure someone helps you out," Kiran reassured, giving her cheek a playful pinch. "Off you go now, stop causing a scene."

"But, Kiran..."

"One more word and I'll spill the beans to Mom and Dad about that secret engagement you agreed to. A young lady like you should know how to keep things under wraps."

Sandy opened her mouth to argue but saw Kiran nod at his assistant to open the door.

"Miss, if you please," the assistant gestured.

Pouting, Sandy left the study. Fine, Harold it was then! From now on, she'd just have to favor Harold over Kiran!

As she made her way downstairs, she found Harold, dusted in flour, tidying the kitchen. For the first time, she really sized him up.

Same handsome face. Same captivating voice. But why did he carry himself so differently?
