“Sophie’s been kidnapped?” Adler wasn't the person speaking. The calm and deep voice unmistakably belonged to Colby.
“I just saw the news too. I'm not sure if it’s true. When are you guys coming back?” Jenna was anxious.
Sophie had been staying with the Burkes for the past few days, and she had reached some kind of agreement with James. To keep Sophie’s identity as the CEO of S Corporation a secret, they hadn’t met these past few days.
But now, Sophie had been kidnapped in just a few days!
Jenna waited for Colby to respond, but there was silence on the other end.
“Colby? Colby?” Jenna had never dealt with such a situation and didn’t know what to do.
After a while, Adler’s voice finally came through. Adler said, “Don’t worry! We are on our way back now. Please don’t panic!”
Though he said not to worry, Jenna couldn’t help but feel anxious.
Her complexion was grim. She hung up and immediately used all the Dennis family’s connections to investigate the matter and verify its authenticity.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free.
