Adler was visibly flustered, glancing around to make sure that no one was paying attention to them before he hurriedly pulled Jenna towards the entrance of the estate. "Let's get a move on, my lady. No more questions."
"I demand a full explanation. Explain yourself!"
Jenna was dragged into the grand estate by Adler, a scene that was overheard by Sophie from inside her car.
Sophie rolled down the window, while Tricia broke out in a cold sweat behind her. After a long pause, Tricia asked, "Ms. Sophie, would you like to get out?"
Sophie didn't respond immediately.
From Adler and Jenna's reactions, it was clear there was something going on between Vanessa and Colby.
"Let's get out."
"Yes, Ms. Sophie."
Tricia got out of the car and opened the door for Sophie.
Dressed in a burgundy evening gown, with her long, straight hair reaching her waist and silver tassel earrings framing her face, Sophie looked delicate and exquisite. As soon as she stepped out, she drew the attention of everyone around.
"Isn't that the daughter of the Russell family? What is she doing here?"
"Did you see the news a while back? She miraculously survived a tragedy and divorced the CEO of Burke International at a funeral."
"To show up at an event like this, dressed so strikingly, she's got quite the nerve."
The ladies around whispered among themselves.
The security at the entrance of the estate stretched out his hand, saying, "Please show your invitation."
Tricia pulled out an invitation for Sophie, which was addressed to the CEO of S Corporation, Blake.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
