Nicole sneered as she stepped forward and slapped Sophie across the face. The slap was swift and decisive, leaving Jenna stunned. When Jenna reacted, she immediately tried to retaliate against Nicole but was stopped by Nicole's bodyguards.
"Nicole! Have you lost your mind? How dare you lay a hand on Sophie?"
Blood tinged the corners of Sophie's mouth, and a ringing echoed in her ears from the force of the slap. It was clear Nicole had used all her strength.
Nicole scoffed, "Russell Enterprises is bankrupt, and their precious heiress is nothing but an empty title now. Why couldn't I strike her?"
Nicole stood tall, radiating arrogance.
Jenna replied icily, "Russell Enterprises might be bankrupt, but I'm still here. You just slapped Sophie today. I'll make sure you pay back a hundredfold tomorrow!"
"I doubt you could," Nicole's lips curled into a smirk.
"Really?" Jenna was unimpressed. Not only was she the head of the Dennis family, but she was also closely related to the Costellos. In Devonport, no one dared to cross Jenna.
Jenna stepped forward, but before she could make a move, ten more bodyguards suddenly barged in, surrounding the diner completely.
Jenna noticed that these men bore the crest of the Cloude family from Bloomsbury.
Why would the Cloude family suddenly show up in Devonport?
Jenna's brow furrowed in confusion.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
