"Alright, Ms. Sophie, a representative will assist you moving forward."
Sophie replied coolly, "If anyone from my family inquires about my bank assets, please consult me first."
"Understood, Ms. Sophie."
Sophie ended the call.
She had spent two billion dollars on that plot of land, and now her bank account was nearly empty. Her father's inheritance had always been stored under that account number, known only to Perry.
Unexpectedly, Perry had also told Jessica about it. Clearly, Jessica was no ordinary person.
On the day of her college enrollment, Sophie got up early. Marian had everything prepared for her.
Watching Sophie pack alone, Marian couldn’t help but say, "Mr. James knows it's your first day of college. How could he not come back to help?"
"It's fine, Marian, I'm actually more relaxed when he's not around."
Hearing Sophie's words, Marian was taken aback. Didn’t Sophie always wish for him to come home every day in the past?
‘Ding Ding—’
The ringing of her phone interrupted her thoughts. Sophie glanced down to see a missed call from Colby.
Colby had been out of touch these past few days, and suddenly he was calling today?
Colby’s voice came through the phone, deep and tinged with a smile, "Congratulations on your first day at college."
"You must have known about my test scores already, right?"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
