"Okay, let's change the subject."
Sophie swiftly pulled out her smartphone, which displayed an electronic signature between Julian and Aldridge Global, complete with a sealed stamp.
"Take a look. Is this your contract?"
"It is mine."
Julian clearly saw his own signature.
Initially, his mother had pushed him into the entertainment industry, and finding Aldridge Global was a stroke of luck. He signed with them without hesitation, unaware of the industry's complexities.
He returned the phone to Sophie and asked, "Where did you get this contract?"
"Do you want to leave?"
"Leave? And go where?"
"Ricardo has already invested in this project. Your debut with Aldridge Global is almost impossible." Sophie laid out the grim reality for Julian. "What awaits you is endless sidelining. I reckon your family isn't wealthy; you'll be dragged down sooner or later and then forced to pay a hefty penalty. If a reputable entertainment company takes you in, you might find a way out. But whether you'll become a star remains uncertain."
"What are you suggesting?"
"I made a bet with Ricardo that he'd incur a net loss on this project in three months."
"What?"
Julian furrowed his brows.
A net loss for Ricardo?
Entertainment companies weren't foolish, especially not a conglomerate like Aldridge Global. How could they possibly let this project suffer a loss?
Sophie smiled, "Once, someone in your predicament trusted me, and now he's a leading actor."
"You mean… Reece?"
Sophie nodded, then added, "If you decide to leave, I'll offer you a way out."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
