Sophie paused, perhaps surprised by his direct statement.
Julian's ears turned red. He had never taken the initiative to care for someone else before, so his words came out awkwardly.
"Are you worried about me?"
"It seems you're fine then. I'll be leaving."
As Julian turned to leave, Sophie immediately called out, "Come back!"
Julian stopped in his tracks, frowning. "Is there something else?"
"Today is a good opportunity to tell all the trainees to break their contracts." Sophie handed Julian twenty bank cards.
Upon seeing the twenty bank cards before him, Julian was stunned. What kind of person owned twenty bank cards?
"What? You're not going?"
"Is this money enough?"
"Just enough. You just need to get them to sign the termination, and afterward, I'll arrange a place for them."
"…Okay."
Julian left as Sophie had instructed.
Sophie watched Julian leave and couldn't help but chuckle. He really did remind her of Reece when they first met, except Julian was a college student and Reece was much craftier than him.
Meanwhile, Mr. Devin was overwhelmed upon seeing all the male trainees' contract terminations.
"Sir, this… there's another wave of terminations." His secretary handed him a stack of female trainees' termination letters.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
