Mr. Briggs and Nichole hurriedly left the Burke residence. James descended from the second floor. Colt approached James' side and said, "Mr. Burke, Blake was nowhere to be seen."
James scanned the surroundings, hoping to seize the opportunity to unveil the true face of Blake, yet disappointed by Blake's absence.
"Although Blake didn't show, Reece did," Colt added just as Reece approached them, "Mr. Burke, a pleasure to meet you."
"A pleasure indeed. Why didn't Blake come along?"
"Blake might not be here, but my presence serves the same purpose."
Reece's words, laden with implications, caught James' attention.
Previously, Reece was merely seen as a leading actor at S Corporation, a mere employee in their eyes. But now, his words hinted at him being at the top echelon of S Corporation.
"Mr. Reece, what do you mean by that?"
Reece smiled slightly, his gaze carrying a depth that was intriguing.
For a long time, S Corporation' leader, Blake, had remained out of the public eye, only making a brief appearance at a masked ball before vanishing from any public events.
Reece's voice was deep and resonant, "Mr. Burke invited Blake, hoping to meet the person in charge of S Corporation. Standing here, I represent not just myself. Mr. Burke, you should understand my implication."
A look of astonishment crossed Colt's face. Could it be that Reece was the real owner behind S Corporation?
If so, it explained Blake's absence from public appearances.
It was because Reece was Blake!

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
