Solana was far from pleased. She had traveled all the way from abroad, hoping to leverage Bea's reputation to make some money in the Devonport circle. But just a few days after her return, James sent her packing without leaving her any dignity in front of Burke International's security guards.
It was infuriating!
With this thought, Solana massaged Bea's shoulders even more vigorously, saying, "You must stand up for me."
"If you can't cut it, don't blame James for taking sides."
Bea had a splitting headache. She had hoped that after years abroad, Solana would have gained some perspective. Yet, she faltered in front of Sophie and was sent back home in such a disgraceful manner.
She was truly useless!
"Auntie…"
Solana wanted to plead a bit more, but Bea said impatiently, "Alright, since you didn't bring anyone back, let it be. Someone else will bring them back."
"What do you mean?" Solana was puzzled.
Just then, the doorbell rang. Marian, following Bea's gesture, went to open the door. Nichole walked in, dressed in a champagne-colored pencil dress with pearl earrings and a striking diamond ring on her finger. Her smile brought an air of grace and elegance typical of high society.
It was as if she had transformed from an ugly duckling into a swan overnight.
"Marian, long time no see."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
