At the brink of disaster, Odie almost instinctively grabbed Sophie's arm.
Had this woman lost her mind?
At that moment, Sophie was already hanging off the edge of the cruise ship, with the waves already lapping at her ankles. If Odie were to let go, she would plunge into the sea immediately.
“Mr. Odie!” Gattlin was terrified. How was Sophie so reckless with her life?
Odie angrily ordered, “What are you waiting for? Pull her up!”
“I-I'll go get help!”
“No need!”
Sophie slowly tried to free herself from Odie's grip, but the more she struggled, the tighter he held on. “Sophie! Have you truly lost your will to live?!”
“Odie, my life is mine to control! Either you respect me, or…”
Sophie silently resisted Odie.
Odie clenched his jaw, his face flushed with anger. No one had ever dared threaten him like this!
“Mr. Odie! The rope is here!”
“Pull her up right now!”
“Yes, sir!”
The rope was already dangling beside Sophie, but she showed no intention of climbing up. Biting his teeth, Odie coldly said, “You want respect. I’ll give it to you! Now climb up this instant!”
Sophie finally achieved her goal.
But it wasn’t enough!

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
