"Ms. Sophie, is it something important? Do you need me to help you look for it?"
The maid's words pulled her back from her thoughts, and Sophie replied with feigned calmness, "It's nothing important, just something quite expensive. If it's lost, it's lost. No need to look for it."
"Alright then, you rest up. My name is Polly. Just call me if you need anything, Ms. Sophie."
"Do you know where we are heading?"
"We're heading back to Devonport. We'll be docking in three days."
Hearing this from Polly didn't surprise Sophie much.
Odie had actually come to Devonport, and it seemed they wouldn't be leaving anytime soon. But... she needed to find a way to tell Colby that she was still alive.
The next morning, Sophie woke up from bed, quickly freshened up, and then the doctor came to give her an injection.
Odie didn’t care about the specifics of her treatment as long as it could get her back to health within three days.
Sophie had to endure a daily regimen of IV drips, injections, and medication, practically becoming a walking pharmacy.
After examining Sophie's condition, the doctor said, "Starting today, you can resume eating solid food. Don't just drink soup. It doesn’t have much nutritional value. It only provides carbohydrates."
"So I should avoid certain foods and stick to bland ones, right?"
"Exactly."
"Good, I'm hungry." Sophie looked towards the door at Polly and said, "Polly, could you prepare lunch, please?"
"Right away."
Polly nodded but hadn't even left the room when Gattlin, who had come to keep an eye on her, arrived.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
