“Madam, are you heading to the hospital to see Mr. Burke? I've prepared everything you asked for.”
Marian carefully prepared the soup, but Bea turned and walked to the bedroom, pulling out a pill from the drawer.
Marian didn't understand what Bea meant but then watched as Bea dropped the pill into the soup, quickly dissolving it.
“Madam...what's this...”
“Have all the bodyguards come with me to the hospital right now!”
“...Understood.”
James had been waiting for over an hour inside the hospital room but still hadn't seen Colt return.
Colt had never been this late before.
A bad feeling started to take hold of James. He got up from the bed, but before he could reach the door, he heard footsteps in the corridor.
“Madam, Mr. Burke is recuperating in here.” The doctor greeted Bea with the utmost respect.
Bea responded with a nonchalant ‘hm,’ and just as she lifted her eyes, she spotted James at the door.
“Grandma?”
“James, I came to see you.” Bea still had that kind and benevolent look on her face but turned to the doctor with dissatisfaction. “James has suffered such serious injuries. Why is he out of bed? Help him back, now!”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
