"Colby! Put me down!"
Sophie panicked a bit, thinking they were about to have sex again. She couldn't stand such torment!
"Scared?"
"I'm scared. I'm scared! I won't ever be away from you for too long again. I'm afraid I might end up dying in your bed one day."
Before Sophie could finish her sentence, Colby leaned in and kissed her lips, silencing her words. "From now on, don't say such ominous things."
"...Okay, I got it," Sophie murmured.
This time, she and Colby were so close to never seeing each other again.
At that moment, there was a knock on the door.
Adler said, "Colby! Sophie! Are you up yet?"
Hearing Adler's voice, Sophie hurriedly got off Colby and asked, "What's up?"
"Ricardo's secretary is looking for you. He says he wants to meet you in the lobby."
"Alright, got it."
Sophie thought Booker was quick, but she didn't expect him to be this quick. She tiptoed and pinched Colby's cheek, saying, "Go squeeze some toothpaste for me. I need to get to work."
Colby said indulgently, "Okay."
Booker was inside the hotel lobby and could clearly feel that the staff had been replaced, but he didn't ask further.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
