At that moment, Nichole's untimely retort completely shattered the illusion, indirectly admitting that Bea had indeed been bragging.
As expected, Bea's expression turned even more sour.
Sophie feigned confusion and asked, "Ms. Rowena, I was genuinely complimenting Bea just now. Why would you think I was being sarcastic?"
"Because you..."
The words were on the tip of Nichole's tongue when she realized she had misspoken. When she looked at Bea again, she saw Bea's face darken.
"Grandma... I didn't mean..."
"Silence!" Bea glared at Nichole.

Sophie's smile seemed particularly mocking in Bea's eyes.
Bea took a deep breath and turned to James. "James! Let's go!"
James didn't dare to defy Bea and prepared to leave with her after giving Sophie a cold look.
However, Colby's people had already surrounded them, making it impossible to leave.
Bea turned and glared at Colby. "Colby, what is the meaning of this?"
"My fiancée was insulted by your future granddaughter-in-law. I must insist that she apologizes to my fiancée. When she bows and apologizes, then you may leave."

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
