"A thousand people?"
"Yes, a thousand people."
The demand Odie made was clearly a challenge.
When Sophie had arrived at the square earlier, she noticed the piano. Although the square was crowded in the evening, playing the piano alone wouldn't attract so many people.
After all, there were plenty of people playing the zither, the cello, and the violin, and some people were even live-streaming in the square.
How many people could she possibly attract by just sitting in the square playing the piano?
Sophie pondered for a while, and then Odie said indifferently, "It's not too late to back out now."
"No, I can do it."
With that, Sophie headed downstairs on her own.
"Mr. Odie, a thousand people... Isn't that a bit too harsh?"
A thousand onlookers, what a spectacular scene that would be.
Odie watched Sophie leave with interest. Within half an hour, Sophie would surely come back to him, admitting defeat.
The square was bustling with couples, office workers fresh off work, many people out walking their dogs for relaxation, and some there for dancing.
Sophie approached the piano at the center of the square, a prime location.
Inside the casino, Odie had been waiting on the second floor for over half an hour, but Sophie still hadn't come to plead with him. Odie frowned and asked, "What's the situation outside?"
"I think Ms. Sophie has probably given up by now. Even if she played till her hands broke, she wouldn't attract a thousand people."
The manager said this but immediately shut up after catching Odie's warning glare.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
