Jonah stepped out of the lounge while Odie took a seat inside, casually sipping on the tea left on the table.
Outside the casino, a flood of patrons poured in.
Wayne had just finished dealing with Sandra, and as he descended the stairs, he caught a glimpse of Leticia stepping into the casino.
The air was filled with the melodious sound of a piano, and Leticia's eyes immediately found Sophie, who was playing on the second floor.
Sophie's piano playing was pure, enchanting all who heard it with a sense of serene delight.
“Ms. Leticia… What brings you here at this time?”
Wayne's face fell upon seeing Leticia. It was too late to have someone notify Odie.
With a scoff, Leticia replied, “How would I know someone else had already taken my place if I hadn't come now?”
Leticia quickened her pace towards the upstairs, drawing the gaze of everyone present.
As soon as she reached the top, her first action was to deliver a slap to Sophie.
‘Slap—!’
The crisp sound echoed throughout the casino, silencing everyone.
It was well known that Leticia, Odie's future fiancée, and heiress of the Gibbs family, held a prominent position in Summerfield. Crossing Leticia meant facing dire consequences.
Sophie was struck hard, a bright red mark instantly appearing across her cheek. Leticia's nails were long and sharp, making it clear the slap was meant to hurt.
Only then did Sophie realize the woman standing before her possessed a deep-seated allure, her refined demeanor belying a hint of a wild past.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
