Nichole resorted to her usual tactics, lowering her head and sobbing quietly in feigned distress.
The guys, already fond of the beautiful Nichole, quickly came to her defense, pleading on her behalf when they saw their crush in tears.
This action, however, painted the professor as a harsh and unapproachable figure. Indeed, the professor's expression grew even darker.
Nichole felt a pang of anxiety.
This time, her tactic didn't soften the professor's heart as it usually did. Instead, the professor said coldly, “You're not focusing on your studies, but you sure know how to make friends, Nichole. You’re really something.”
Nichole quickly shook her head, “I…”
Just then, the bell rang, and the professor grabbed her books and left swiftly.
Nichole had really upset the professor this time. Krystal tugged at Nichole's arm and said, “Don't worry about her, she's just jealous. Clearly, she’s going through a midlife crisis.”
“But did you hear? This morning, there was a scandalous photo pinned on the bulletin board, labeling someone as a ‘sugar baby’ and ‘nightclub girl,’ even claiming she got her position through underhanded means. Guess who it was?” Tina said this with a mysterious air.
Curious, Krystal asked, “Who?”
“It's that girl who tried to steal Nichole’s boyfriend.”
“Oh, her! I knew she was no good. She looks so pretty, but turns out she's selling herself, how disgusting.” Krystal made a face of disdain.
Tina added, “Exactly, she’s just trying to latch onto some wealthy guy.”

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free.
