The two people inside the room snapped to attention.
"Get in here!"
Odie's voice was icy, but Sophie sauntered in, unfazed. If she had the guts to eavesdrop outside the door, she wasn’t scared of Odie catching her. Even if Wayne hadn't appeared, she was ready to march in and demand answers.
Odie's eyes narrowed dangerously at Sophie. "It's you?"
"Mr. Odie, you're not being very straightforward," Sophie said. "I came here in good faith to work with you, but you’ve been playing your crafty little games."
Odie's voice was cold. "What exactly do you want?"
"For years, Minton International has driven my Uncle Perry into massive debt, bleeding my family, dry. And now, you've got your sights set on me. No wonder you were always so vague when I asked you questions before. Turns out you’re after the legendary Devonport treasure."
Although Perry had admitted to arranging her parents' deaths, Sophie and Colby had discovered that the car's engine had been tampered with. Besides Perry's plot, another group had wanted her parents dead!
Sophie had been uncertain and could only cautiously feel Odie out, step by step. But from Odie and Jonah's recent conversation, she guessed that the Mintons was involved in her parents' deaths.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
