“James had just arrived in Summerfield, and I need to knpw who he was here for.”
“Officially, James is in town to discuss business with the Gibbs family, but surely... it couldn’t be for Ms. Sophie, could it?”
“Well, you never know. After all, she is his ex-wife. Back on that island, James was willing to die for her.”
“But James has amnesia; he doesn’t remember Ms. Sophie. Isn’t this a bit over the top?”
Hearing this, Odie scoffed, “Amnesia? Do you really buy that?”
“I…”
“Look, as long as James isn’t here for Minton International, whether he’s faking amnesia or not, it’s none of my business.”
“Yes, boss.”
As the evening started to fall, Polly helped Sophie to her feet. She was taken aback when she saw Jonah holding a wine-red evening gown. “A dinner party?”
“Boss’ orders.”
“Is he trying to get back at me? Look at me, and he still wants me to go to a dinner party?”
“Ms. Sophie, you can choose to go or not.”
“I’m not…”
“However, he wanted me to tell you that Mr. Burke from Burke International will be there. He thought you should think it over.”
Sophie frowned at Jonah’s words. “James? What’s he doing in Summerfield all of a sudden?”
“I’m not sure. Boss thinks you should go and find out what James is really up to.”
It was clear Odie wasn’t giving her much of a choice.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
