"Alright, I'll give you three months."
Sophie, with her entourage in tow, turned and left Rowena behind. In three months, she planned to take Burke International from James without a shred of mercy.
James watched Sophie walk away, falling into a deep silence.
Bea stormed up to him and slapped him hard. "How could the Burke family produce such a foolish wastrel like you? You're not one of us! Go find Sophie now and tell her none of that counted! Go!"
She shoved James, desperate to save the Burke family’s decades-old legacy. But no matter how hard she pushed, James didn't budge.
Finally, when Bea hit him one last time, James grabbed her hand and said coldly, "Have you had enough?"
Bea was taken aback; she never expected James to speak to her like that.
James continued, his voice steady and firm, "I've lived my whole life by your rules. I owe the Burke family nothing, but I do owe Sophie. Rest assured, Grandma, I'll make sure you live out your years in comfort as repayment for raising me."
Turning to Marian, who stood by the door, James ordered, "Pack Bea's things and send her back to the family mansion."
His tone left no room for argument. Marian reluctantly complied, guiding Bea back to her room.
"James..."
Nichole, terrified, tried to throw herself into his arms, but James suddenly gripped the back of her neck.
"Ah—!"

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free. More about what’s up with Gordon....
