Angelo hesitated a bit, then asked, "I need cash, a million a month."
"No problem."
"The newspaper needs funding."
"I'll invest."
"I've got nowhere to stay in Devonport."
"S Corporation will cover your room and board."
"Deal."

Sophie and Angelo shook hands, while Tricia standing nearby was completely dumbfounded.
Is this really how business deals go down?
A million a month, plus funding, plus room and board—was he some kind of VIP?
Sophie turned to Tricia and said, "Get someone to draft the contract. I want to sign him up immediately."
"Ms. Sophie…"

Sophie shot Tricia a look, and Tricia quickly responded, "Of course, I'll get it done right away."
The employees at the door saw Sophie coming out and scurried back to their desks, sitting up straight.
Sophie led her team out in a manner that felt like a scene straight out of a spy movie.
Outside, Tricia couldn't hold back any longer. "Ms. Sophie, why spend so much on him?"
Angelo—no one in Devonport had heard of him. Just some good-looking guy who appeared out of nowhere.
Even if the new newspaper was gaining traction, it didn’t justify such a massive investment!
Emerging News could be bought for a few hundred thousand, yet Sophie was shelling out ten times that amount.

Enjoying the story, to much victimising Sophie, they could at least try to target others. Hope at some point Sophie comes clean and forgives James and explain her view of loving the boy James was. Just so they both learn and move on. Really needs to be some consequences for the instigators instead of being let go. Sandy needs to see Vanessa is using her as a cover, and Sandy needs to wake up to herself, or be held responsible by her father for alienating the people she was supposed to make contact with. Hope the reporter brother is keeping an eye on what Vanessa and Odie are up to, and that he has he’s own justice in store. Hope he becomes like Reese a good partner. Hope James lives and finds he’s HEA. Need to put Nicole in prison , no release and several lifetimes , with all the evidence on the crimes she’s committed just to get her out of the way guilt free.
